Acne is not something that only appears on the face, in fact body acne ails a lot of people. Body acne can appear all over your body, on your back, chest, arms and legs. Mostly people who suffer from facial acne also have body acne. Body acne occurs if the sebaceous glands in the body overact and start producing excess sebum and oil, body acne can occur in these four basic forms; blackheads, whiteheads, nodules/pustules and cysts. Body acne gets worse if your skin gets irritated, this can happen if you wear damp or sweaty clothing. Do avoid irritation of your skin to prevent back acne, chest acne or body acne fabrics that allow the skin to breathe should be worn such as cotton, and once you get sweaty in your clothes you should just change into new ones. Shower regularly, twice daily if you can and try to shower with an antibacterial soap or an acne body wash.
There are basically two treatments that you can do to cure your body acne depending upon its severity; light cases of body acne can be cured by simply cleansing and clearing the skin, then thoroughly drying it off and using ten percent alpha hydroxy acids to keep the skin clear and acne free. In more severe cases of body acne, the skin should be thoroughly cleansed and then you should apply small quantities of benzoyl peroxide and alpha hydroxyl acid and hopefully you will cure your body acne. Body acne occurring in the form of back acne and chest acne can be cured by following simple steps like mentioned above, keep your stress levels low and clean and cleanse your skin regularly, so that the skin on your body remains clean and any chance of body acne is completely eliminated.
